What it Cost: Ireland

Transportation*        $413.80           $21.78

Housing*                   -$65.38        (yes, that’s a negative as we actually made money – see below)

Entertainment            $51.08            $2.69

Gear*                           $127.20

Postage                      $15.71

* A couple of notes and lessons learned in travelling in Ireland

Transportation – We are tracking inter-country transportation separately. In the case of Ireland, we did the Rail/Sail with train starting from London, England through Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin, Ireland (Irish Ferry) for $127.31. The listed costs are mostly related to our rental car during our time at the housesit in Adare (taxi to/from rental location, gas, tolls, etc).

Housing – Almost all of our housing was covered in Ireland, first with family covering costs in Dublin and then two weeks housesitting in Adare. In fact, in a first, we actually made money on housing because of a big tip from our awesome house-sitting hosts.

Gear – New shoes for Aaron (a fella needs new shoes now and then!).
